Stephen L. Braveman, a Certified Diplomate of Sex Therapy, Gender, and Sexual Abuse Specialist, has pioneered his field for over 30 years. Alongside his partner, Wanda M. Braveman, a Patient Advocate and Office Manager, Stephen has transformed ISGC into a center of excellence, offering a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Wanda Braveman brings a unique perspective with her memoir, White Knight, Living with Alzheimer’s Moment by Moment, and her warm, empathetic approach to counseling.

Boyhood Shadows: I Swore I’d Never Tell is the first full-length documentary dealing with males who were molested as children. With the help of the Mac+Ava Motion Picture Company, those in the Men’s Group at the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center, under the guidance of their therapist, Stephen L. Braveman, LMFT, DST, CST-S share their stories of abuse and the path to recovery. We hope watching this film will help other men come forward and get the help they deserve to live productive lives filled with joy! The Men’s Group, now in its 31st year, is still run by its Founder, Stephen L. Braveman, LMFT, DST, CST-S. It is now on Zoom and available to all men / male identified in California!
